TYPES OF CAMP
- TALENT CAMPS Camps for Boys & Girls in school year 2 and above. Camps start at 10am and finish at 4pm. Lunch not included. A fun course of hockey skills for children of all abilities aged 6 to 16. The course will be lead by Southgates Director of Hockey, Chris Pearce and include international players such as Kwan Browne and Will Calnan. Children will be divided into groups on the first morning and coached according to experience and ability. The course will include training and exercises designed to introduce new skills and develop technique. There will of course be lots of games and competition. £50 1 day, £90 two days
- PERFORMANCE CAMP Coached by international players Kwan Brown and Will Calnan. For players aged 14-18, school years 9-13, playing at county level and above. Ideal for players at Talent Academy. Kwan and Will will lead a camp that will demand high standards on and off the pitch. This is an opportunity to learn from the GB Assistant Coach and one of GB’s top forwards as they offer a day that will provide an insight into how the Great Britain Men’s team set standards that saw them recently qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The camp will include high intensity training, advanced skills and video analysis in the clubroom where players will analyse their own performances from during the day. £60 1 day, £100 two days. Lunch not included.
- GOAL KEEPER MASTERCLASS . For goal keepers aged 14-18, school years 9-13, playing at county level and above. Ideal for players at Talent Academy. Experience standards expected of premier league and international players. You will work hard and learn about advanced aspects of the game on the pitch and in the video room. Full Day – £60 1 day, £100 two days. Lunch not included. Half Day – £50 1 morning, £90 two mornings.

Some Things You Might Want To Know
Advanced Hockey Camps
The advanced camps are usually lead by former GB international John Shaw. They are for boys and girls aged 12 to 16, playing full County Academy hockey (JAC) or equivalent, and above. If you are below this level or have only attended a Junior Development Centre (JDC), our Improvers camps will be more suitable. Expect to work hard but also expect to reach new levels and learn new skills. You are expected to have a good work ethic and coaches will be demanding of quality and attitude. Camps are usually two days.
Junior and Improvers Hockey Camps
The Junior and Improvers Camps are fun course of hockey skills for children of all abilities aged 8 to 14 covering a range of basic skills. If you have never played, just started or have been playing a little while but have yet to reach the dizzy levels of county hockey, this is the course for you. The courses are suitable for beginners up to those attending Junior Development Centres (JDCs) and trialing for the Academy’s. Camps are usually two days and that beginners must attend the first day.
You’ll Get Quality Coaching
The player to coach ratio will be kept low to ensure that all players benefit from individual attention and groups are COVID compliant. All coaches are fully insured, HA qualified and DBS checked.
Camp Timings
Players should arrive by 9:45am to ensure they are ready for training to begin at 10am.
Players will have two morning sessions of approximately 1.5 hours with a break in-between, followed by a lunch break (lunch NOT provided), followed by a further 1.5 hour training session, another break and a period of game play to see out the day.
The camps finish at 4pm, but parents are welcome to arrive earlier to watch the game play if they wish.

Standard day camp - £45 for first day. £35 for subsequent days booked. Intense2 from £140, Intense4 £270 and Residential camps £450.
