Friday Night Lights
Super Sixes return to Southgate for this summer
Entries are now open for the Summer Sixes league at Southgate Hockey Centre. Building on the success of last year are running a series of Sixes Nights in May, June and July
Held on Friday nights and under the lights we inviting teams to come together and enter for a chance to be crowned the ultimate 6’s Champion. All games on water based pitch and officiated by top National League umpires.
We are taking entries for Mens and Women’s teams and suggest the standard is a grades 1-3 (National League- regional Division 2/3). Teams can be entered either as a club or a new team made especially for the tournament. Ages 16+.
Places are limited. Entry is £250 per team. The league takes place over 5 Friday Nights.
Club House open before and after each Friday event with music, serving lots of cold beer, cocktails and pizzas!
Mens & Womens Summer weeknight league
Teams compete in this friendly but competitive league. Games take place on the water and sand pitch on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm and 8.30pm.
The league is usually divided in two parts. The first part is a round robin league where everyone plays each other.
Then the league splits in two, with the top teams competing in another round robin league competing for a cup and the bottom teams for the plate.
Enjoy Southgate’s superb facilities, changing rooms, showers, pitches, bar and beer garden overlooking the pitches.

SUMMER MIDWEEK LEAGUE 2024 RULES
- Please note the start time of your game. Games must start promptly. Games will last for 70 minutes.
- The 1st named team will provide the match ball.
- The 2nd name team will change in the event of a colour clash. Colours will be posted on the centre notice board and on the website.
- EACH TEAM MUST PROVIDE AN UMPIRE FOR THEIR GAME
- Points awarded are 3 for a win, 1 for a draw.
- Results and scorers must be written on the card behind the bar.
- If teams are level on points at the end of the league their position will be determined by:

- goal difference,
- goals scored,
- results between the two teams.
- If teams fail to fulfil a fixture the opposition will be awarded a 3-0 victory.
- Payment for matches should be made over the bar before the game commences or by bank transfer. The fee is £70 per team per game.
- Teams cancelling games will still be liable for the £70 match fee.
- Any disputes will be dealt with by the Summer League Organisers, and their decision will be Final.
- The competition will either be a round robin, with each team playing each other twice or a single round robin followed by the league splitting into top and bottom teams and round robin played for cup and plate.
- No games will be re-arranged except in exceptional circumstances. If you are not able to fulfil a fixture, your opposition will be awarded a walkover
